The flags of the South Pacific region reflect the vibrant diversity and cultural heritage. Numerous island nations that call this area home. From Polynesia to Melanesia and Micronesia. Each country proudly displays its unique identity through its national flag.
One of the most recognisable flags is that of Fiji. Featuring a light blue field with the country’s coat of arms in the centre. The flag of Samoa is another notable example. Red field and a prominent white rectangle in the upper hoist corner, showcasing the Southern Cross constellation.
The flag of Tonga, known as the “Taufa’ahau” combines a red field with a white canton containing a red cross. Meanwhile, the flag of Papua New Guinea boasts a golden bird of paradise on a black field. Representing the country’s rich natural resources and cultural heritage.
These flags, along with those of Vanuatu, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia, and others, collectively form a colourful tapestry of South Pacific nations.
