FLAG HISTORY: The flag of Antigua and Barbuda consists of a classic combination of red, blue, and white elements. The design features a rising sun with an outline of the island in the center. Surrounded by a circular ribbon of blue and white, with two crossed branches at the bottom. The sun symbolizes a new era. Blue and white of the circular ribbon represent the environment and the sea, respectively.

The red color of the background represents the people’s strength, determination, and energy. Two branches at the bottom means the most vegetation found in Antigua and Barbuda. Featuring sugar cane and the tactac, while the white in the circular ribbon symbolizes the white sandy beaches and the bright tropical sun.
